Happy New Year,
Am I really saying that?! While we wouldn't want to miss the hustle and bustle of the holidays, it sure is nice to know we can curl up with our favorite hot beverage, our Quilt'n' Things newsletter and relax. There are no parties to plan or attend, no packages to be wrapped or mailed, and no rushing to the last store before they close for one more gift.
This is the best time of the year for me to get back to my quilting. Kids back in school, husband back to work, family has all gone home … YIPPEEE!!! My New Year's resolution is to sort out all my quilt projects, prioritize them by how complete they are, and then start knocking them off, one by one. To help accomplish this, there is Girls Just Wanna Have Fun scheduled the first Friday of every month starting in February. Five hours of uninterrupted quilting time and the fun of being with other quilters and a teacher to help if I need it. How great is that?!
I have learned that saying, "I will not start any new projects until the one's I have are done", is not going to happen, so I am not even going to think it this year. That's great because I think you will agree when I say, "We have a fun-tas-tic class schedule." We have 5 terrific new teachers who have great classes planned for you. They are Linda Rasmussen, Kay Deckman, Evelyn Van Orden, Tammie Bowser , and Lily Marie. Also, we need to give our regular teaching staff a huge round of applause. They have done so much for all of us and we have grown to love and appreciate Ivy Fiske, Bettie Blauser, Mary Ellen Sakai, Nancy Helpinstill, Renae James, Beverly Van Cleave, Mary Ann Andrews, and Louise Sutton. Thank you ladies for all the wonderful classes you have taught and will teach us.
We want to thank you, our loyal customers, for your patronage in 2002 and we look forward to seeing you this wonderful new year, 2003, and helping you plan all your new projects.
Happy Quilting, Darly Dulion
