Do you wish to be a quilt designer?  In this class, you will unleash your creativity to design your own appliqués based on simple shapes that reflect your interests or passion.  Evelyn will teach you the basics of machine appliqué. Satin stitch, blanket

stitch, and invisible zigzag will be demonstrated.  She will explore piecing, sashing, finishing, and embellishing options so that you  can customize your quilt or pillow.

This sampler class will use "Paper Piecing with Alex Anderson" as a guide to help you learn how to use paper piecing to make perfect blocks every time!  Starting with the simple Square In A Square block and following with Kaleidoscope, Pineapple, Flying Geese and, finally, the stunning New York Beauty, you will learn all the techniques that make paper piecing such fun.  You can make a sampler from the blocks or make a whole quilt from just one.  After this class you can conquer any paper pieced pattern.

Just in time for Valentine's Day.  Using the book "Log Cabin in the Round" making straight lines appear to be round.  Fun to make and creates wonderful illusions.  Make one for your favorite friend or that special someone to curl up with.  A favorite book and quilt, what more could one ask for?  CHOCOLATE! Please.  Speaking of chocolate, we received a new Hoffman fabric that has chocolate's in their paper wrappers.  It would be perfect for this quilt.

Another great quilt idea for Valentine's Day.  You don't have to worry about matching seams or fabrics.  If your hearts are off it just adds whimsy.  After it is all made, machine wash and dry and the edges of the hearts will fray and give it a whimsical look.
